Okay, fair enough. Except that--
--this list is not just a infodump clearing house for cyborgs. It's a
social agora, and people like to strut their stuff, act out a bit in
public, whinge and moan a little, praise each other's achievements. That
can easily get out of hand, it's true, and the email format allows swift
escalation to cyber-rage without the customary constraints of face-to-face
politeness - but if all the human layers are extirpated you won't end up
with transhuman discourse, but with something far more chilly.
