Isn't the group still arguing about whether or not there should be such a
thing as intellectual property and if there is, where it should include
patents on ideas or just devices?

There appears to be disagreement over what pure capitalism would actually
involve. (Which seems reasonable - after all we're applying it to people,
who aren't simple at all).
