I did not claim this; Lardner has posited it in his article. Let's keep
the focus on Lardner, because I have not drawn any conclusions from his
research. I do think, however, that the studies he cites could be used in
support of an argument for structuring future societies nonheirarchically,
which is hardly a new idea among futurists.
