Mike..what about the effort needed to maintain that body heat through
eating?..I mean, doesn't it become more difficult to take in the needed amount
of calories to maintain oneself as the creature grows larger? sort of a cycle
effect..the creature evolves larger to maintain heat, but then requires more
food to stay alive, which is in scarce supply in such regions?..
(i'm not in my area here, is this a valid train of thought? I'm a Comm tech,
not a biologist...:-) )
