Jesus was a literal being who probably UNDERSTOOD the whole 'god'
concept. As far as religion goes he is a SYMBOL. He was not the
'only son of God' nor was he born by immaculate conception.
When folk turn symbology into literal historicity is when religion
goes bad. You want to believe he was bald? Fine. You want to
believe he had blond hair? Fine. He's a S-Y-M-B-O-L!
Religion will unfortunately be a part of human future, but at least
extropians should know the difference between historicity and
symbology.
