The stock market is jumpy, period. Every day analysts try to pin the
net total of all world trading onto a single cause. They say "fears
about Asian markets caused..." or "Good news from the XXX sector
caused..." I think it is absurdly simplistic to try to attribute global
actions of millions of investors down to a single goal or reaction. I
look at the numbers and predict broad trends, and always multiple trends
with multiple participants. Anybody who gives a single cause for
everything, I simply ignore. If the market were that simple, people
could better predict the market and never risk investment.
