Just because I've been using this as a tagline for so long, I feel
obliged to point out that AFAIK this maxim originated with Pamela
C. Dean <http://www.ddb.com/pddb/> in her novel THE WHIM OF THE
DRAGON, though it might have been one of the earlier volumes in
that trilogy. I wouldn't want to steal credit by accident; I only
like to do that sort of thing when I'm deliberate about it. ;)
