You will see that I am also concerned about anti-futurism. Your
concerns were one reason that I feel that we should in fact continue
to discuss economics and politics when these subjects directly
affect the rate of progress toward the singularity and when we
may be able to do something useful. My objection was to random
discussions of current politics and economic theory that have
little or no direct relevance to the advance of humanity.
