Two suggestions for the book list:
TECHNOLOGIES:
_Cyberspace: First Steps_, edited by Michael
Benedikt, MIT Press, 1994 (I've read almost every recent book
written about 'cyberspace', and this one still blows them all out of the
water. A series of essays written by the people who are developing
the technology and concept of cyberspace. Discusses the nature of
cyberspace and its potential uses from technological, ontological,
economic and cultural perspectives.)
ECONOMICS/SOCIOLOGY:
_The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning
Organization, by Peter Senge, Doubleday. (Formation of new types of
corporations based on systems thinking, personal mastery, control of
mental models, and continual learning.)
