Well maybe, but they also undoubtedly cost a lot of money (and wasted a
lot of money, bureaucracies being what they are) that could probably
have been put to better use (hey, you were making value decisions for
others - why can't I?).
They also took the responsibility of decision away from people and
infantilised them just that little bit.
What other possibilities did you consider and reject, may I ask?
