The following was reported by The Economist:
* Advanced Tissue Sciences, an American biotechnology company,
claimed it would soon be able to grow a HUMAN HEART IN THE LABORATORY.
The company has already managed to grow heart valves, heart muscles,
blood vessels and a human finger joint. The European Parliament approved
on first reading a law that would harmonise national PATENT LEGISLATION
ON GENETIC ENGINEERING, and would allow continent-wide patents for
genetic inventions.
Not my field so I cannot comment on credibility.
