I only included it because of the Trekkie-like awe some people here have
of their idealized alien visitor's typical technology level.
I have experience in ECM from my USAF experience, and I happened to have
built a police radar superjammer device which used a focussed emp to fry
police radar, which also tended to fry the engine electronics....
I did that on my free time while in the USAF, and wound up having to
give it up to the military....or face charges for frying a base cops
car. I'm sure they've built some cool new battlefield gizmos with my
help...
