If this statement is supported by the general ouvre of memetics
today, then I heartily agree. I did, however, read a statement by a
journal editor in which he complained that so much writing has been
done on the topic of memetics recently that the papers are piling up
on the shelves unread. It may take awhile for the newest thinking on
the topic to reach us.
