Eugene Leitl:
>I think neoluddism is very irrational.
Which follows that it is a movement largely fueled by fear that is based
on past experience of the mismanagment of technology.
I've been thinking that any strategy to counter neo-Ludd memes would
have to (a) acknowledge the research and work of the prominent
intellectuals claimed by the movement and (b) counteract these fears
with reasoned proposals for better uses of technology.
As a person who has had experience with them, does this sound like an
effective approach?
