IAN: This is true, I recall reading this. If my memory serves me,
I recall reading that ethanol allows the methanol also to vaporize
through the lungs. Also consider that low-does alcohol consumption
is correlated with life-extension, apparently because it reduces the
"stickiness," if you will, of fats in the blood stream, thus prevent-
ing the tendency of arterial lipid accumulation.
I can here it now: the FDA has mandated the addition of ethanol to all
aspartame containing beverages. Nothing by choice, everything by decree.
