Signal to noise ratio is important too.... Especially desired signal
to noise level. I suspect the idea itself is a lot older than
Extropians,
my guess is maybe the days of the telegraph and Edison..
Of course if the frequencies are above the allowed sampling rate, one
gets aliased....
