It makes you wonder. If a bear was to enter a 'naturalist' (no
offense to any 'naturalists' on this list) camp and maul a few people, would
the naturalists act and kill the bear? It certainly wouldn't be 'logical' for
them to do so if the bears are natural and they are not. Humans are animals
(albeit complicated ones). We, like the animals, have a primal instinct to
protect our kith and kin. Why this isn't recognized by the average naturalist
is beyond me.
