I'm probably reading way more about the post-911 US than your average
extropian here, since I'm running the http://208.171.236.113/cpunx-news/
thingy, but really, things are not well in Merkinland. Things are not good
in Euroland, either, and we're notoriously lagging before adopting any
braindead legislation you insist to test-drive.

Either way: things have been changing lately, in the wrong direction, and
the pace of change has picked up as well. We all need to be aware of this,
as we all are affected.
