Concerning Eminem, Brian Phillips wrote, amongst other very fine
observations:

Brian, you did a hell of a good job describing the disgusting stance behind
Eminem's lousy and boring attempts to throw notes and rude words
together. But then you elaborate:

> Whenever the assholes around me feel the need to play
> another trailor-trash biography set to a drum-track by a fag-hating
> buffoon I like to listen to this wonderful blind Italian guy named
> Andrea Bocelli.

Mighty Orpheus! Sure Bocelli is a fairly decent singer, and he probably is
not to blame for the anglification - (beatification??) does this word exist
anyway? - his fans carry on. But the emotional level of the music he
interprets makes me sick all the same. Give me five minutes locked in a room
with a medley of Bocelli songs and there you are: having grown a berserker
who executes any order and even embraces Eminem, if only he is allowed to
run out
of the room.

I will refrain from giving hints at music I love to listen to, but I use the
occasion to comment on earlier attempts to come up with alleged transhuman
or even extropic music. Anyone who thinks he is a transhumanist might also
project his "belief system" onto his personal musical taste and experience
the dubious impression to listen to transhuman music.

I think this is apeshit.
