I believe I said the eternal vigilance of an armed population -- I could be
wrong but I am not aware I said that armed resistance was absolutely
necessary. I think in almost all cases the present of a vigilant and armed
citizenry would be necessary. Of course from time to time someone would test
to see if we really were vigilant, armed and willing.
I'll have to apologise for the use of the word European. I got caught in a
straddle -- I wanted one word to label geographical Europeans and European
Americans. My apologies.
