If workers want control they are going to have to accept risk too. For
example, INTEL decides it's time to build a new 3 billion dollar state of
the art semiconductor foundry, if the company can't get the money from
capitalists then the workers themselves must reach deep into their pockets
and come up with the money. If it turns out that the demand for chips is
less than expected or somebody else makes a better chip then that money is
gone never to be seen again. Thousands of employees now have huge second
mortgages on their houses and nothing to show for it.
