Nasty stuff, and gets into everything. Fiberglass, in general.
Some good friends and family members have worked in fiberglass boat
building companies. Our own (wooden) boat had a couple pieces of furnishings
with small fiberglass coatings too. When we refinished the pieces or
I would spend time around my friends after they came back from the
boat building yards, I could feel the fibers on my own skin sometimes.
I think that they wore masks at work, but I don't actually remember.
Fortunately they all quit after a few years due to economic downturns
in the 1980s boat industry.
