is writing an article for "Psychology Today." She has interviewed several
of us for the piece.)

Your suggestions is timely for the negotiations topic. In order to deal
with Leon Kass and his committee, we need to consider how to negotiate
through the anti-biotechnology maze to advance public knowledge re positive
aspects of biotechnology.

This Saturday at the Getty Salon - 4:00 PM (or earlier), we will be
discussing the art of negotiation. We'll take a look at the strategy
designed by The Warschaw Group (whose principle recently spoke at the Women
in Technology meeting here in LA) and other means of dealing with
businesses and people to get what we want and close the deal. The caveat
here being that getting what we want is often based on a win-win scenario,
but learning the "Art of War" (Sun Tzu) is a pretty good idea as well.
