The reason that you're decrying socialism seems to be, from your posts,
coming from your definition of socialism. The reason most socialists will
not acknolwedge the 200 year failed history of socialism (or at least, I
hope they won't) is because the countries you are talking about were simply
not socialistic. The workers didn't control industry in Russia. Or China. Or
any other of these "socialist" countries. I think about the nearest to real
workers control is--interestingly enough--the Nordic countries. In my
opinion, most anything which impedes direct worker control-- whether it be
called "socialist" or "capitalist" or "totalitarian" is simply
authoritarianism and is something that we should try to fight. Now, that
isn't completely absolute, but in general I'd stick to it.
