I realize that I'm pushing the bounds of what
can be talked about even on Extropians, but
you may wish to consider the following thought-
experiment involving the unfortunate death of
Minnesota's senator Paul Wellstone along with
four others.
How much money would you personally privately
pay (were wishes horses) that this event had
not occurred?
How much money would you *have to be paid*
so that this event would *not* be retracted?
Is the ratio of the above answers at all
close to one?
I draw several interesting inferences from my
own answers, but shall refrain from announcing
them at this time in order, as requested, to
avoid manipulating or exerting mind-control
over other posters.
Lee
P.S. I have dispensation to ask such a
question in terms of money because I am
an American.
