Hello everyone,
I just wanted to give a reminder about the cryonics gathering this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Creekside Preserve lodge which is located in Mayer, Arizona. The head of Alcor, Dr. Jerry Lemler, will be the distinguished speaker. We are giving out room discounts to those who come, and don't forget about the buffet we will be serving!
It will be a great time. All the information you need to get here(and encourage you to come!) is below in David Pizer's Cryonet post.
best wishes,
John Grigg
P.S. Some extropians are seen by first generation cryonicists as being overly rambunctious! lol! At Extro-5 the craziness I heard was taking place at Spike's house was largely over by the time I got there(after the conference, dang!). : )

To all cryonicists:
The Creekside Preserve is planning an open house on Sunday, October 26th to show off our new facility. All cryonicists are invited to a tour and complimentary buffet luncheon on Sunday afternoon.
We are hoping that in the future the Creekside Preserve will become a place of frequent cryonics and life extension meetings, conferences, celebrations, weddings, memorial services and more. It is also our hope that the Creekside Preserve and its amenities will become part of a larger cryonics community someday, one that will include a retirement village and other opportunities for cryonics and life extension advancements.
For those of you that might want to come up Saturday evening, we will be having a fireside get-together at the firepit by the creek and a walk to our observatory. Rooms or cabins for cryonicists will be 25% off.
OUR FEATURED SPEAKER ON SUNDAY WILL BE DR. JERRY LEMLER, ALCOR'S CEO AND DISTINGUISHED LEADER.
Here is an agenda:
Saturday evening = fireside discussion and social get-together.
Saturday evening = walk up to our observatory and we all look at the heavens above.
Sunday
Morning nature walk for about an hour's exercise.
Then a tour of the property and a visit to the barn to pet and feed the horses.
Noon to 1:00 = buffet
1:00 Dr. Lemler will address the audience.
This is an informal event for all cryonicists of every persuasion, come up for fun and meet other cryonicists. Perhaps, Dr. Lemler will even give us a preview of what to expect at the coming Alcor Conference in November?

How to get to the Creekside Preserve, which is about an hour's drive from north Phoenix.
1. Drive north from Phoenix on Interstate-17 (as if you were going to Flagstaff).
2. About 40 miles or so, you come to the town of Cordes Junction. Exit.
3. Then go west (or northwest) on State Highway 69 (towards Prescott - but not all the way). 4. Six miles from Cordes Junction is the Creekside Preserve on the north side of the highway.
Our phone number is 928 632-0777 (But we are not manning the phone until around October 12th). In the meantime, please e-mail me any questions or let me know if you are expecting to come.
