Folks,
There has been a discussion surrounding the identity
continuity problem (with Subject: duck me.) Emlyn
wonders about being able to measure or objectively
observe the subjective of other minds. And gts wonders
about the “subjective continuity” between the original
and the xox.
I think we will soon discover what the subjective
properties of our mind are, which will lead to effing,
objectivily measuring the subjective qualities of other
minds, “subjective continuity” between original and copy
or upload and a bunch of other cool stuff.
I’ve attempted to describe what this effing, measuring
the subjective of other minds will be like and
how “subjective continuity” will be possible in a short
story entitled “1229 Years After Titanic”. The effing
and uploading ideas are described in 2 of the short
chapters (6 – Expanding Spirit Worlds, and 7 – Sharing
spirit worlds; one need not read the entire story to get
the ideas.) This short story is available here:
I’d love to hear people’s thoughts about this. Wouldn’t
this kind of “subjective continuity” and ability to
observ/subjectively expeirence other minds resolve any
issue even the most “spiritual” of persons might have
about being uploaded onto a new platform?
