Preposterous and totally uncalled for. (I realize that to Lee Daniel
Crocker I would fall into the same category.) One more notch of the dial
toward my unsubbing from this increasingly dismal list, at any rate.

Just for the record, Olga is one of my favorite people around here for her insightful observations.

Damien, we both really enjoy(sometimes) the extrolist, but perhaps you should unsub yourself for other much more important reasons!

If you were to concentrate all the time you devote here to other perhaps more fruitful pursuits, you would probably publish at least one more book a year than you presently do! lol So you would have more needed fame and fortune.

You would also have more time for your real world relationships, and so your life would be enriched in that area!

The following people just might be transformed by unsubbing from the extrolist...

Eliezer Yudkowsky- Without the extrolist he finally makes all the theoretical breakthroughs to fully go forward with his seed A.I. project. Eliezer also finally has time to do the schmoozing necessary to get the funding he sorely desires! The Singularity soon follows. : )

Robert Bradbury- Becomes the Bill Gates of biotech, and has time to meet and marry the woman of his dreams. They have a zillion kids, who make concentrating on email postings impossible!

If there had been an extrolist when Bill Gates was just getting started, there might have never been a mighty Microsoft! ; )

best wishes,

John
