They are preditors at the top of their ecological niche
so I would expect them to have a relatively slow aging
phenotype.
I'd like to see a lot of long-lived species genomes sequenced.
Elephants and perhaps bowhead (or blue) whales would be at the
top of my list.
My interest in the Komodo is a bit more selfish however. I view having
that genome as a logical place to start my design for a "real" pet dragon.
