One caution I have about these studies is the use of the BMI. Unless the
researchers were very careful, that number can be misleading. For instance,
my BMI says I'm overweight, bordering on obese despite my below-average
bodyfat levels. The BMI is a crude measure that doesn't distinguish body
fat from muscle weight.
On the whole, I agree that being fit and fat is vastly better than being
unfit. However, it doesn't affect the original issue of the seats...
