I would, if I believed the probablity of success (both of the
procedure and the subsequent ability to resolve the risks) was
higher than the probability of the survival of humanity
otherwise.
But it would be only as a last-ditch (this or nothing) gamble
that choosing this path makes sense with untested technologies.
