Shaun, let me add to what you are saying. Hernando deSoto in his book
The Mystery of Capital suggests that what the 3rd world countries need most
of all is for their governments to operate a legal system that recognizes the
property of the citizenry and in addition the lives & rights of the citizens.
Am I to feel guilty and demand that my country act to compensate for
what those 3rd world countries governments won't do for their own people?
Especially when all is called for is for those 3rd world governments to be
fair to their own.
