How the chat today went at BJKlein.com

I really enjoyed the chat today at BJKlein.com. BJ is a thirty-year old young man, a bright nonscientist, who has a very strong interest in life extension. I found him to be a very gracious host at his chatsite.

Largely the SL4 crowd showed up, and carried the day. Eliezer was even briefly interviewed about ferret breeding(no, just kidding!, it was about the Singularity) for the BJKlein newsletter which goes out to about 350 people.

We discussed various topics, but basically whether God exists, friendly AI, the Singularity, the best diet for life extension(without going nuts!), when transhumanists will get motivated and active in the social change arena, and cryonics.

I will spend about $30.00 in this internet cafe to have taken part in the rather lengthy chat(ouch!). But it was a well spent six hours in my view. I would have gone to a college or municipal library computer(where I normally go), but they are closed due to summer Sunday hours.

I'm up to $29.83 now!!

best wishes,

John

P.S. Ouch!!!!
