That article itself says that this technique might be eventually applied
to humans. It seems to support my assertion that we do not have this
ability today.

(I wrote "anencephalic mammal" and this is most definitely possible)- we
need to develop methods of human cloning in general. However, once we have
that capability, the next step should not be huge, since our ability to
control the activity of genes is already at sufficient level of
sophistication .
