I really don't know where it began, the first one I have is 5/9/02. You are
right, this should be an open forum, and I like 'what if games too'. But
there are lines (of healthiness, of sanity, of violence and degradation)
such as baby killing and offing women............that are a much uglier
place than my mind travels. Yes, I am offended when someone states that I
am of lesser value than a man. I don't want my involvement here to be about
proving my worth. I would prefer that we raise eachother up, in preparation
for the future, be strong as a supportive community so that we will be as
ready to fight whatever battles the world has for us, it may be legally or
morally within the mainstream public. There will be plenty of things to
debate, out there when future technologies evolve to that point.

I can see how you would have been offended, along with other people(myself
included) after having read some of the vexing posts. But one thing I like
about this list is that it rarely engages in censorship. I do not ever want
to see a Committee for Unextropian Activities! And I am grateful Max More
has tried to keep the list pretty open.

displaying extreme tact, and that leads to situations like this. We must
all do better, but not censor unless absolutely needed.
