Research on the effects of caloric restriction (CR) on
animals finds not only that CR extends lifespan but that
when initiated in mid to late life can actually reverse
some markers of aging and activate genetic expressions
resembling those seen in younger animals. An elixir!
After practicing CR with optimal nutrition for 6 months
my own experience is consistent with such findings. At
37, I've never felt more energetic in my entire life.
Before CR I looked roughly my age. Now, my receded
hairline aside, I might pass for a 24-year old.
