I thought that axolotls were salamanders that stayed neoteric. Can't they
breed in larval form?
They also can regenerate heart muscle, spinal cords, limbs and tails. The last
two are not so unusual; the first two are.
Xolotl was the god of games. I wonder if there's a Loki connection there/
