I had mixed results: on my home and work computers (both with win2000),
everything is running fine, with occasional slowdown of the graphic
interface. On another PC (again win2000) it crashes when I click OK
on the settings window. The Linux version seems rock solid.

You can try the windows command line version. No graphics, just a DOS box
that keeps writing the number of frames done.
