What? My father was extremely physically and emotionally
abusive. Are you telling me that laws against treating children
that way are unjustified and accomplish nothing? If I had no of
even the paltry handful of such laws that existed when I was a
child, I could have stopped or at least slowdown the abuse
suffered by myself and my siblings. Are you implying my father
had some kind of right to beat us mercillessly and throw us
across the room when he went into one of his rages?
