On a similar line, after viewing the PBS special on
Holocaust Revisionism, I would like to strongly
encourage everyone to maintain a diary, including
expecially what one has personally witnessed. If you
have any elderly relatives or know anyone who may have
witnessed important events personally - PLEASE try to
get them to record their memoirs. What seem to be
trivial or unimportant details may prove crucial in
determining the truth later on.
The real proof - one way or another - of the existence
and scope of the holocaust would come the same way
that the police discover the truth via interrogation.
Two people can agree in advance on a lie, but there
are always more details than they can specify and
memorize. Thus, you interrogate them separately and
sooner or later you find significant discrepancies -
if they're lying.
Thus, it would be really nice if someone with the
funds to do it right, and the integrity to be trusted
- George Soros comes to mind - would do just that with
a large enough group of holocaust survivors that no
one could plausibly deny it ten or twenty years later,
when the last witnesses are dead. I wouldn't care if
the JDL did the investigation, so long as they
permitted professional interrogators - especially
those hired by holocaust deniers - to ask their own
questions and the process was kept informationally
clean, so that no coaching or transmission from one
witness to another was possible.
This is probably the only thing that would really
settle the issue.
