And so...so many other people I've known. It's amusing the first few
times, perhaps, but this is at least the hundredth such case I've heard
of. (Then again, working as I do at a place that basically makes its
money from lawyers' egos, I've heard a few incidents of those who try to
twist the law to suit their needs, assume it's right and absolutely
enforceable no matter what common sense says 'cause it's the law, only
to be shocked when a judge or jury disagrees with them. Lately, a lot
of those cases have been corporations, even corporations that think
they've bought laws and thus licenses to bully their competition...)
