Sorry for the delayed response. I can't let this pass without
comment. I'm old (42), too, but I listen to lots of new music. The
thought of listening to the same old tunes for the rest of my
hopefully long life is unbearable. Yeah, I like to trot out the oldies
once in a while, but I can't listen to them exclusively. I've *got* to
have a steady fix of new music.

When you say you "don't ... care for the latest stuff", do you just
mean that you don't like the current popular styles/artists/songs? I
suspect that whatever style of music you do like is still being
produced in good quality today, but that it's probably not popular
enough to make the Billboard charts. I think if you look for it,
you'll find it. Tell me what you like and maybe I can give you a few
pointers.
