Well of course it can't hold water but that doesn't mean ideas such as this
can't have a profound influence, just look at religion. So we have yet
another bioethicists, a man by definition far more ethical than you or me,
suddenly discovering that future developments in science will lead to
profound changes in human beings, well thanks for the news flash Mr.
Fukuyama. He figures people will live longer, probably much longer, and they
could get more intelligent too and that would for the first time change
human nature. All this might lead to social problems
and he can't think of a immediate and simple solution to these problems.
Thus this great moral philosopher has concluded that things should to
regulated by government so people remain stupid and die when nature (that is
Mr. Fukuyama) thinks they should. I said it before I'll say it again,
bioethicists are the lowest form of human life.
