Of course as Eugene mentions we are in this for the
science and not the glory (though glory isn't a bad
thing per se).
One could argue that the stats should be divided into
"classes". A corporate class like Google (or a University
class) can clearly trump a non-profit organization
with more limited resources.
I think what counts is contribution relative to
resources available. I think in that area Extropy
can distinguish itself.
(You may note some posts today to both folding-bugreports
and folding2 on my part complaining about long existing
bugs and the lack of open source that would enable fixing
them -- I intend to keep the pressure on in these areas.)
