Yes. The fact that the Farnsworth fusor works so easily shows that one
need not have an ongoing multibillion dollar project or high energy,
dangerous, systems to achieve fusion. If parties were truly interested
in harnessing fusion, they'd figure out why Farnsworth's fusor remains
sub-unity and dump money into fixing it (as I recall, Farnsworth's
patents are now public domain, so Chrysler's ownership of them doesn't
mean anything anymore. The mere existence of the fusor technology should
give debunkers pause when they try to immediately discredit another
tabletop fusion experiment.
