electronic body music. generally pretty fast. sort of a middle ground between techno and
industrial.... oddly enough, the term was coined by kraftwerk, who are about as far away
from modern ebm as one can be while still being electronic and having some form of song
structure. some examples: front 242, vnv nation, assemblage 23, apoptygma berzerk,
covenant, cleen / cleaner / clear vision (pick a name, stick with it!), project pitchfork,
haujobb, seabound, :wumpscut:, suicide commando, hocico..... you want me to keep
going?
here's a little mini history of it i did, if you wanna know more:

also, it's definitely worth mentioning that a fair amount of the above mentioned bands (vnv
nation, covenant, cleen etc, seabound) express quite a lot of extropian and
transhumanist principles, though they're not overtly extropian; and also that the point in
time when i *really* started to get into them was around the time i was discovering
transhumanism, too.

it's also worth mentioning that a fair amount of those are more appropriately future pop
(vnv nation coined the term), which is pretty much extropian dance music :)

and if you want excessive beats per minute, check out gabber / hardcore techno...
BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM(evil violent sample)
BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM. for five minutes :) and those booms are probably coming as
fast as you're reading them...

cheshire morgan. i am not alone
                        i am not afraid
                        i am not unahppy
these are the words i say to myself every day
                -vnv nation, fearless.
