Good god, Harvey! Move to Australia at once, we voted against ID cards.
(Although the ways things are going with `terrorism' hysteria here, I'm
expecting them to become mandatory any month now.)

WHY DO YOU STAY THERE? Isn't the much-hailed virtue of the USA that there
are different laws in different states? I mean, sure, the weather might be
nicer than in somewhere more humanly decent, but hell's teeth, man... Or
move to Sydney with yr partner and frolic at the Mardi Gras parade, which
is out in everyone's face *and broadcast on national television* as an
annual viewing highlight.

Of course, you'll have to give up the wonderful freedoms of living in America.
