Who needs an excuse to remain with adolescence? If I ever lose my childlike
wonderment re Life, the Universe et al then just shoot me! On a slightly
more serious note: Elephants have higher brain mass - way more than
homo/neaderth anything- but this would be due to 'horizontal' expansion in
sensory/actuation I/O - no intellectual content (in the sense of goal
oriented reasoning). Humans have a vertical expansion involving less brain
mass but the intellectual capacity conferred by the vertical (cortical)
expansion is huge. It seems a 'no brainer' (oh my god I can't believe I said
that!) to me that critters lower of the consciousness scale have less
developmental wiring to train in.
The sensory/actuation connectivity has permanent training examples blasting
away all day. Higher level learning examples that embed stuff like morals
and other complex behaviours like blowing up buildings takes a lot longer to
organise.
0.02 has expired. Retreating back under rock.
