On the contrary: you're the most intelligent and helpful commentator
the list has got on this topic, and if you don't keep pushing the
long-term idealist point of view the list will be considerably the
worse for it.
Here's a clue, for those people yammering away about how evil Samantha
is: extropianism isn't about short-termism. In the long term, she
is *right*. We *do* need a fundamental shift in human behaviour, and
examining current issues in the light of long term requirements is
well within the remit of the list.
So far I've only been commenting on likely near-term outcomes. But I'd
prefer a world in which your outcomes win.
