This is a list rule which is easy to circumvent, as you probably know. Sarcasm
and snide remarks about the IQ of a poster have come from almost everyone
here... and often the worst offenders are the first to whine and complain
about it (Yudkowsky, for example).

Useless hypotheses, etc.:
consciousness, phlogiston, philosophy, vitalism, mind, free will, qualia,
analog computing, cultural relativism, GAC, Cyc, Eliza, cryonics, individual
uniqueness, ego, human values, scientific relinquishment, malevolent AI,
non-sensory experience
We move into a better future in proportion as science displaces superstition.
